Recently took a trip downtown to just stroll around on the weekend and to kill some time. I usually park at underground at the Pacific Centre and when exiting by the Granville Street exit, I’m greeted with a beautiful view of the Soctiabank Tower, located at West Geogia St. & Seymour St, built in 1977, it is currently Vancouver’s 8th tallest tower.

One of the iPhone 4′s newest feature is the flash. As you can tell, it takes amazing pictures your friends:

The iPhone 4 boasts a 5MP camera. Finally, higher quality photos. Photography with the iPhone fun again. ^^;

Will it replace my DSLR? Nah, I don’t think so. Not even close. I’m still passionate about learning photography with the DSLR. The iPhone just makes it possible to have a little fun with those random shots here and there.

I suddenly have an urge to try out screen printing. Thankfully, my Creative Director pointed me towards Blim. They offer screen printing workshops and a whole lot more.

STOKED.

I just had the opportunity to try out the new Olympus EPL-1, kit lens – Olympus Zuiko Digital 14-42mm f/3.5-5.6 ED. I took it around the studio I work at, FCV, an interactive agency in beautiful Vancouver. I took several shots around the office and after a little Photoshop magic, mainly just a little level tweak and colour balancing, the results were impressive. The camera packs quite a punch with the kit lens.

I love how small this camera is. It’s brilliant and its size is something to appreciate compared to the big bulky DSLRs, which could sometimes hold you back from taking it out of the house. But, it doesn’t quite pack all the buttons that a DSLR normally would have. I need those wheels and buttons. I’ve gotten used to it on my Nikon D5000. Hard to go back. I can’t rely on changing aperture, shutter speed, ISO, and white balance with just the ‘Center’ button along with 4 direction buttons. It’ll definitely be a nice back up camera to have around.
