I am so thankful I came across this video. The photographed portraits in this video have inspired me to finally look into picking up some lighting equipment. Just have to find a good deal somewhere. Looking forward to getting some cheap cheesy looking background fabrics. It’d make for some good party portrait times. Ugly Christmas Sweater Party anyone?

I am really inspired now to rent a tilt-shift lens for a few days. Every time I watch this video I get all giddy!

Useful Links for March

I had more time than usual to do my rounds on the internet at work. I guess it’s low season.

I decided to do a little random reading on some jQuery and CSS since it’s been a while I’ve done any front-end development. *tear*

Came across a couple good links that’ll probably come in handy down the road.

I’ll be updating this list from time-to-time.

Coca Cola’s Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics Pin Of The Day Collection

I’ve become an accidental Olympic pin collector. I strolled by The Olympic Superstore’s Pin wall on the first day of the Olympics and saw a sign noting that Coca-Cola will be presenting a Pin-a-day during the entire Olympic games. I don’t know what happened but lured me into the pin collecting world. Just so you know, this is just my Coca-Cola collection. If I get around to it, I’ll snap a few pictures of my other Vancouver 2010 pins.

The day we’ve all been waiting for. Embrace the Games because this is going to be the best thing that’s ever happened to Vancouver since Expo ‘86.

Google’s Superbowl Ad

This is probably the most beautiful ad I’ve ever seen. The style is simple, the message is clear, and it’s straight to the point. Has Google written all over it! Perfect delivery. Gah!

Tokyo Sky Drive

Sweet stunning effect done by simply mirroring half the footage of the Tokyo skyline on a train ride resulting in the illusion of a floating city. Love it!

I gotta head back again.

Die Antwoord

Probably the next huge internet craze. This video is gold, especially at 1:12. Awesome.

Switching to Transit and FCV’s New Home

The company I work for, FCV, has finally moved into its new home in busy Downtown and away from trendy Yaletown. The downside is we lose the studio-like feel. For me personally, I’ll have to transit to work from now on or until I say otherwise. For those who know me, I hate taking the bus. Not because I just hate transit. I just don’t like journeying on a bus it to work. Not a great way to start mornings. However, I don’t mind the Seabus that takes me across the Burrard Inlet. At least it’s scenic.

Ah, Translink!
